How do I access electronic resources from off campus?

All users must authenticate to subscription resources when connecting from off-campus. Currently, authentication is based on your Library credentials, but we hope you'll be able to log in with your portal credentials by the end of fall 2019. Yes - they will need to pay for their prints. It is $0.05/copy for black/white and $0.08/copy for color.

At this time the library only accepts cash.

May community patrons check out books?

They may check out books for thirty days, and they may be renewed once, provided that another patron has not requested the book. They may check out up to ten books at one time. However, they are not allowed to check out additional books until any overdue books are returned.

At Stanley Library, we offer services with 3D printing, filming with Green Screen technology, editing video projects using Adobe Create Suite tools, and creating audio projects in our Audio Lab.
There are two multimedia workstations with Adobe Creative Suite
1. Digital Video Lab/Green Screen Room with camera, tripod, Softbox lights, and props
2. Digital Audio Lab
3. And a Large Format Poster Printer!

The Learning Engagement and Practice (LEaP) Studio facilitates hands-on learning in a flexible environment using iPads and movable white boards. Classes can be librarian-lead or the space may be booked by faculty for their own hands-on sessions.

Where can I print?

Printers and copiers are located in the Library computer lab, on the library's main floor, and on the second floor of the library.
All print jobs sent to the Papercut printer may be securely released from ANY copiers on campus.
To physically log on to a copier, you may swipe your ID card OR you may type your ID number at the copier. (Your ID must be entered in the form of a 7-digit number with leading zeroes if applicable.)

Does it cost to print?

Ferrum College provides students with $10 on their printing account at the start of each semester. After that should a student need more money added they simply bring cash to the main library floor, where any of the library staff will be more than happy to add it to their account.
